Representatives from Rolls-Royce, Portsmouth City Council, Fareham College CEMAST (Centre of Excellence in Engineering, Manufacturing and Advanced Skills Training) and the UK MOD attended the event to see the new training centre and what H+S Aviation will offer for organisations within and outside of the aviation industry.

“It’s great to have this facility in the city – the development of this new training centre reflects the strength of the long-established aerospace sector in Portsmouth and will be a great asset for H+S Aviation and their global engine network,” Portsmouth City Council Leader Gerald Vernon Jackson said.

The training and development centre increased to over 1,700 sqft and is a fully refurbished and modernised facility dedicated to workshops, classrooms and a computer-based training area with a suite of new technology. The space will be used to host OEM and operator conferences, as well as other training courses for H+S Aviation apprentices and other staff continuous education sessions.

“We are consistently accoladed for our training programme, and it’s my goal to continue providing an exceptional experience and educational environment from our new centre,” Steve Wiseman, H+S Aviation Training Director said.
